Water when the top 2 inches of the soil are dry, then thoroughly water until the water drains into the saucer. Empty the saucer if the water level is high so not to drown the roots. The worst thing you can do to your Philodendron Brasil is to over water it.
Philodendron Brasil will appreciate you misting its leaves to help to keep the pests (damaging insects) from making themselves at home on the leaves. Use a pebble tray or humidifier to help boost humidity in dry areas.
The Philodendron Brasil enjoys average room temperatures of 60-80 degrees. Avoid temperatures below 50 degrees, sudden temperature drops, or cold drafts.
For best results, feed your plant every month during the spring and summer with diluted liquid fertilizer. No fertilizer is necessary during the winter when plant growth naturally slows.
